Sorry for the interruption. As one of the few places I hang out virtually
with a number of Europeans, this list seems like a good place to ask this.
Please respond privately, not to the list.

After a decade of absence, I'm finally getting back to Europe for a week or
so, this time to Barcelona. I know next to nothing about the place. Can
anyone give me some good information about what to do there? Where to go?
How much Spanish and/or Catalan do I really need to know?
