No Shadowrun content here, but I know some of you play Earthdawn...

I went to my local gaming store today and to my surprise I found
a copy of "Barsaive at War". I guess rumors of LRG dropping off
the planet were unfounded.

I hadn't even heard of those rumors. Last I heard was them posting on their
website how FASA's closing would affect them (not at all). I'd assume ED2
is still scheduled for sometime this year.

And I must say, BaW rocks :)

Hell yeah, I was really quite impressed by BAW; its an adventure book
thicker than most sourcebooks.

Phil

You have a class of young strong men and women, and they want to give their
lives to something.

We have to show these men and women freedom by enslaving them, and show
their courage by frightening them.

"Napolean bragged that he could train men to sacrifice their lives for a
scrap of ribbon."

Ooh! Let me be the first to provide. You'll get other addresses,
mind you, and they may look the same, but this is the original, real
deal. Accept no imitations.

There y'are. Be sure to check out the "Random Acts of Grimness
Table." 'Tis clever.

hmm, I didn't like Barsaive at War very much myself. I liked the original
concepts, but they didn't seem well fleshed out. The layout is bland, but
that's acceptable enough for a new, small company I guess. The "metaplot" was
grand, but could have just as easily been summarized in a couple pages. The
adventure frame works weren't very good IMO.
