Subject: [OT] Booty (disk) call.

If someone knowledgeable could help me with an easy-peasy computer
question, I'd be much obliged. Do the sensible thing and reply off-list,
s'il vous plait.

Quick breakdown o' the problem:

I'm trying to install Win98 and need to nuke the C:, but my boot disk
won't recognize my CD-ROM, so I won't be able to install anything apres
nuke. So I need help making a proper boot disk.

So any help would be appreciated. I'll name my kid after you or
something :)

Depending on certain thingies, such as if your computer is new enough
and the "version" of windows you have you can try to go into the BIOS
and change the boot sequence. Such that it boots from your CD-drive.
If that works you can just nuke C: and plop the win98 CD in your
cd-drive, lean back and relax. Ofcourse you might want to try this
before nuking anything ;-)
