Always name your kid with a name that ends in a vowel or vowel equivalent.
(note: my parents flubbed this:) ) That way when you yell at him or her
(be it to summon or scold), you can really stretch that sucker out.
Zachary is a good name from this standpoint: "Zachareeeeeeeeee!"
Vowel-shrieks from maternal lungs have RANGE, man, blocks at least
depending on the degree of maternal determination....

(paraphrased from Bill Cosby's _Fatherhood_).

Congratulations (can't spell (It's midnight, do you know where your brain
cells are?)) to Mr. Imbriaco (can't spell part two) on the birth of your
son. Nineteen years ago at this very moment (at 12:10 am central st
(texas, USA) on 2/1/78) my dad was three hours and 39 minutes into the
state of fatherhood. Now I've met a woman, that for the first stime in my
life, I think I could potentially settle down with and have a horde of
anklebiters ;) (can't spell strike three, I'm out :) ). Fatherhood is
such an immense and complicated state, words don't exist to describe it.
But I think that things usually turn out for the good, with a little luck
and a lot of love. What can i say, my dad did ok with me, all I can hope
to do now is do well with my kid(s) (integer >= 0 :) ). I wish you and
your family the best of luck, Mr. Imbriaco, and from what it sounds like
you're plenty ahead on the love ingredient. Seriously though, listen to
Granite, take a few weeks or monts off from the list. We'll stumble
alomg somehow, you've got something more important to occupy your
attention... :)

'night all in my hemisphere and good day to the rest...

Speaking of birthday parties, I've been reading this list for about two
years now. Time flies when you're shirking homework..... :)

Oh, I don't know......
I know someone who's mum used to call him in by shouting at the top of her
voice "RAYYYMOOOOOOOOOOND!".... That seemed to work quite well....

And it embarrassed the frag out of him, which was a big bonus....
