The PS2 is way out of date, compare its graphics, loading times etc with
either of the other two, especially on some of the newer games and it's
clear that it just can't cut it any more. A lot of the multi platform games
ATM are coming out for the PS2 and X-Box initially, with the X-Box
thrashing the PS2 in most cases, and then two to six months later the game
comes out for the GameCube... they've spent the time rebuilding the game
for the 'Cube's architecture (apparently much easier to write for than
either of the others) and normally it makes the other versions look years
rather than months old.
Granted the PS2 has Grand Theft Auto, Gran Tourismo...etc and the 'Cube is
drastically short of racers and the grittier side of gaming but MarioKart
for example shows what the machine is capable of, the graphics are serious,
blocky in places but only where Mario has always been blocky and it's a
"feel of the game" thing.

If you want a perfect example, Soul Calibur 2. It's on all 3 systems and
PS2 looks the worst.
It's basicly become the benchmark for which all other systems are judged.

As for the Cube not getting the grittier side of gaming... They got Hunter:
The Reckoning last Christmas, Hitman 2 is coming soon (if it's not already
released), Splinter Cell, Starcraft: Ghost, BloodRayne (boy does she swear),
Resident Evil series, the Metal Gear Solid remake, Eternal Darkness, and
others.

Now before this turns into a big debate about which system is best and why
this and that, remember that there are other mailing list, message boards,
and websites devoted to this. My first statement was just pointing out that
we're not the only ones (Shadowrun Role-players) that would like an SR video
game, others would like one too.

I cover all my bases Valeu John, I have all the
systems 'cept a PS II, I only get the exclusive titles
or version with most powerful platform (XBOX, & I
research 1st to make sure that If It's exclusive to
nintendo etc. that It won't be tranfered to other
platform version later down the track).

Please don't tell me Lone Eagle I've been making a
mistake by shunning gamecube cross platform games for
Xbox :(

I'm seriously kicking myself otherwise. I passed up
some seriously good deals, 50% off, on some good games
But I'm waiting for Xbox to reduce in price,
Spiderman, Wreckless, etc.
