The phrase 'Klaatu, Veratu, Nictu' was originally used in 'The Day The Earth
Stood Still' by the alien Klaatu, just after he was shot, to stop Gor from
toasting all the Earthlings.

Gotta love Evil Dead II for all it's intertextual references. ;p

There's a classic I haven't seen yet. Neat. And of course you'd
have to mention Star Wars, too (RotJ) where an alien race was nemed
Nikto (and one of them was named Klattu or Klaatu, can't remember the
spelling).

Instead of seeing God (otherwise known as Bruce Campbell) with his shotgun,
