I have to agree with Elton on this one. Thwaps are being handed out way
too much lately IMHO, especially when there are three or four flying
across the screen for a single, minor thing that someone says or does.
(And Spike, you're one of the main offenders here, in my eyes.) Thankfully
it's not the big, 1,000-year-old carp every time, but the others are
almost as bad to see a few times every week just because someone makes a
non-too-bright remark or has mailer trouble.

You can't say I haven't been on the list long enough to appreciate good
thwaps, but there haven't been many of those lately. Most thwaps dealt out
in the recent past have been huge big unoriginal ASCII carps, huge big
"THWAP" in #-signs, and so on. Come on, a bit more originality won't hurt
anyone -- matter of fact, I think it will cut down on senseless thwaps,
and it will also help new members appreciate thwaps more if they're well
thought out.

Okay, rant over.
