Coulda sworn it was in there.

But I've seen many variants on that ploy in television shows and in movies.
Still, it's a good trick for a quick thinking shadowrunner, he said
bringing the discussion closer to Shadowrun.

Starting to read Dead Air - you know, I probably wouldn't have purchased it
if Jak Koke wasn't on this list, prompting a discussion about future books.

I hope you aren't disappointed.

BTW, I've gotten some pretty good feedback on Dead Air from the list, both
through private email and posted to the list. I just wanted to say that I
appreciate it. I don't always have time to respond to everyone's comments
individually, but they do get read and they do have an effect on my future
writing projects. Thanks.

For any who care, my next project to be published is a trilogy of SR books
called The Dragon Heart Saga. Book One, _Stranger Souls_, tells the story of
Ryan Mercury--Dunkelzahn main undercover operative as he tries to carry out
his mission in the aftermath of Dunkelzahn's assassination. Book Two,
_Clockwork Asylum_, continues with Ryan as he searches for those responsible
for the dragon's death, and Book Three, _Beyond the Pale_, shows Ryan's
fight to take the Dragon Heart to the metaplanes in time to stop Mr. Darke.

I'll leave it at that.

Right now, Stranger Souls is done, typeset and at the printer, Clockwork
Asylum is done, mostly edited, at the publisher but not yet typeset. I'm
still writing Beyond the Pale. Today I get to write Chapter 18, and maybe
part of 19. The deadline is pretty tight so I'm flying through at about 5
chapters/week. They're fairly short though, and if I stick to this schedule
I'll have enough time to go through them thoroughly before shipping them off
to FASA.

Anyway, to work...

I wasn't... It had some great background on Combat Biking, Rigging, and
Sim-Sense recording... Sometimes stuff like that is hard to figure out
from just reading a brief write up in a source books... Definately one of
the better SR novels...:):):)

Definately!. I loved the sniper rifle drone idea. Kicked myself for not
thinking of it my self. the ultimate in reach out and touch some one.
Not only is it had to tell where the shot came from, you dont even have to
BE where it came from:). BTW did you ever come up with stats for those
drones or do i have to get around to doing it myself (might wait until RBB
V2.0)? It was also great to see a book where it wasnt "Save the World"
time:).

I've taken down the names of your characters, any who were offered up, and
decided to use them in my next book. They will all be cannon fodder for MY
main characters of course. <evil laughter>

BTW, release dates for the Dragon Heart Sage (name chosen by me well before
the movie the same name was release) <sigh> are as follows...

Stranger Souls: July 1997
Clockwork Asylum: Oct 1997
Beyond the Pale: Jan 1998

Look for them the month before the release date in book stores, or two
months before in game stores.

Huh?? You're saying the books will be released before their release dates,

Don't feel bad....shortly after _Lone Star_ sourcebook was released, I sent
my runners into a run against alcatraz...and then later, when the prisoners
rioted, I sent them back "because they were the only ones who get in and out"...

Basically (save for a few details, like the Neuro nasty) it was the Rock.

Now some movie studio comes and makes a fortune off of it. _I_ didn't make a
fortune. IIRC, I even had to buy the pizza that night.

(Maybe if I ran with Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage....at least then my
mother would like my games...:) )

I must say....that sucks!

Hey, I hope you're planning to consult with the creators on how those
characters are to be played. Just pulling up a random archetype and
slapping someone else's name on it doesn't make a character (8-ball
wouldn't go anywhere without his trademark cybereyes).
