Except it wasn't deliberate. We were on an astral quest of some kind, and
our GM decided that he wanted to bring a Cthulu monster our way. I saw it
in a cave with mounds of treasure, and went, 'Hmmm. What's that?' and
moved forward to get a closer look. Then I saw an iridescent blue line on
the ground and stopped. I wondered if it was some kind of barrier, so I
tried passing my hand over it, and when I did, the line disappeared, and
the beast awoke and killed almost the entire party.

Oops. :>

Plus, Amoral characters don't get karma the normal way, they pay cash for
it, remember?

Who says that?

Its a option in the compagion under the Karm-cash rules, its not part of the
core rules.
And getting karma from cash, i find mildly crappy to be gentle.

Yep, but it is an option for those truly amoral campaigns. :)

True, especially with the low cost. But hey, no one says you have to use
it!!

Yeah, and besides, if you don't try out all the little additions, how will
you know if it is going to work or not? (and don't try that whole 'It just
looks like a bad idea', because that's a cop-out)

Yeah, it could be pretty cheezy, but in a game where everyone else is
trying to do the right thing, and the GM and I set up this character to
throw a wrench in it all, it made sense to try out the Amoral karma thing.
He did not just let me deck into someplace and then spend all that money on
karma. He gave me a karma award as a limit (you may spend money to get up
to <insert amount here> karma).

But this thread tires me . . .
