Subject: [OT] Is this a new virus?

Greetings all,

I received an infected email tonight with the subject line "Blond in
a Bathtub" and an attachment "Fwd Fw Summer.eml.exe" I caught it
before opening it, so the infection has been prevented, but I can't
find any info on this. I'm not entirely sure it's a virus, but it
came from an unknown, and I didn't ask for so down the digital drain
it went.

Just curious if anyone has more info on this one.

July 22 I bought the modem. I couldn't figure out where it goes.
It wouldn't fit in the monitor or the printer. I'm confused.

I get like 20-30 emails a day thats crap like that... its just the new wave
of Klez viruses going around... they set the topic to one of hundreds of
things and send the files as different types from different people's address
books

Just keep checking the MS page to make sure you have the latest windows
updates if you use outlook express as your main mail reader

rest assured, it IS a virus. Looks like a recycled Klez to me.

According to Iridios, on Fri, 18 Oct 2002 the word on the street was...

That would probably be a worm -- open the attachment and it'll send itself
off to everyone in your Outlook address book, if you have one. I don't even
count anymore how many of those "double attachment" files I get these
days... (But don't worry, everyone: I don't use Outlook, I run an OS that
needs an emulator to run those files, and I delete them on sight. The only
one they're annoying, is me :)

Well, I *know* it's a virus. I just wasn't sure which virus. I
haven't seen Klez come in this form before.

Augustus, neither I nor my wife use MS Outlook precisely because of
it's vulnerability to virii. :)

But thanks for the replies. :)

Selections from the diary of an AOL user.

August 13 I sent another post to every usenet group on the
Internet asking where the ftp.netcom.com is. I had forgot
yesterday to include my new signature file which is only 8 pages
long. I know everyone will want to read my favorite poem so I
included it. I'm also going to add that short story I like.
