The mere fact that he is mentioned in the book, does not necessarily
mean he's there, but a possible incarnation... <g>

Definately? Hmmm...

Yep. Scary. The owners first name seems to match mine as well, I think
I'll ask for royalties. :)

Old or New?

New was Ok, but a bit blank minded. Old was, in my opinion better, but
then the girls dressed more interestingly, and had a figure, unlike
madam Lumley, the stick insect.

HE's not just mentioned. The entire story of his trip to New Grange and his
disappearance is told, and he's statted....

Yup... As far as I'm concerned, Emma Peel is the definitive partner for
Steed....

Yes... I've heard....

They will RUIN IT!

I'm assuming it's an american production. They will lose everything that the
avengers ever was, and come up with just another action movie.

AAAAARGH! Why do they insist on doing these things?
The only people qualified to do the Avengers are the ORIGINAL people who
did it. (If they're still alive...)

OK, Patrick MacNee and... um.... AAARGH... DAMN! What'shername..... might be
too old, but the production team shouldn't be.....

You might be right about the production team. The old show had a certain
charm it would be hard to capture. The closest I've seen was a small bit
done as a virtual reality dream sequence on the tv show, vr5. Duncan,
while in vr, imagined himself as John Steed, with Sydney as Mrs. Peel. A
lot of the old touches from the original series were in it, including
the giant telephone [I can't remember which episode it's from]. It was a
hoot.
