Ah, so we're using the old tried-and-true strategy for keeping the user
limit under 500: shuffling off to a new address and losing half the
subscribers in the process. :)

Oh well, it won't be long now before people look back to the iTRiBE days
they way they do to the hearn days... We'll have to have a new wing at the
Respected Elders Relaxation Resort before long.

(Seriously, though, I take this to mean that we'll be either switching to
Listserv Pro or another list server?)

Well, as the second person to post on iTRiBE following the move from hearn,
I'd say it was very smooth.

Gurth wouldn't know... it took him about two weeks to make the shift. :)

(For the curious... both the iTRiBE and hearn lists were run in parallel for
a couple of weeks, with different threads going on both, and then hearn was
cut off)

Actually, probably Majordomo. It's free, we can run unlimited lists on it,
with unlimited subscribers. Since we have plans to fire up a few new
lists, this is a "good thing (tm)".

Apparently the new versions are alot less buggy than the old one, as I'm
sure some of you remember Majordomo being a bit of a prat before.

One would hope that it has gotten less buggy:) As I remember, it was
pretty much guaranteed that, come Friday evening, the list would be down
until sometime Monday:) Those were the days (Jiminy Christmas! I've been
here long enough to get nostalgic over things. I'm not sure if that's
good or bad... :)
:)
You know, I didn't think I was going to be here when the list got moved
next. I guess I'll get to be witness to one of those rare list events:)

For the millionth time, stop exagerating....
It's not as if it's the first time.
(Although it is <just> for me).

Just think... 1 month earlier, and I would've joined the list just as the
list was moving the first time.

That's the first time I've heard of that being the case, so yeah, it would
have taken me two weeks to make the shift... All I know is that when they
said "The lists will go down tomorrow" or whenever, I started using the
iTRiBE addresses instead of the Hearn ones. The fact that it worked
flawlessly should give good hopes for the future.

Lessee...... an errata list, a rules discussion list, the PLOTD &
TK lists, the NERPS list, a woodchuck list, a complaint list (that no one
will subscribe to but everyone can send their complaints to be
ignored).... how many did I guess? }:-)

This could be tied in with something else.

ShadowRN, which will NOT in a million years be split into seperate lists.

Of course.. and SRCard..

Not a bad idea.

Hey, good idea!

But you missed a few :-)

Well, you already heard how it went, but that was mostly due to the prick
that didn't show up to replace me when he should have.

They could train a monkey to do my job, but they can't train a adult to
show up at the right time.

Ya know... speaking of the archive... <expects a nice, loud, painful, red-mark-leaving
thwap>, Anyone got any news on it, say, when it'll be ready? I'm anxious to check it
out,
plus, I need to look some schtuff up. Anyway, thats all I wanted to know.
