It could possibly be turning people off to the list who are new to it.
This list has always been pretty open to newcomers and now this club is
telling people "here's something that we can say but you can't because
we've been here longer. Nyah nyah."

Then you won't mind if we call it "the old close-minded codgers home?" If
it's really not serious, take it off the list. I'm not gridsec, cuz I
don't keep up with all the traffic on here, but it certainly doesn't
pertain to SR, IMO. To the list, yes, but not to SR.

Along the same lines, I have the utmost respect for Gurth and his
military related knowledge, but I couldn't really care less about how
many people fit under his stairs. If you have to hide somewhere because of
something you say, maybe you should think a little more before sending it.
Or just take responsibility for it. If Bubba can, so can you.

> If you qualify, you're in.

Count me out. I'd rather just read and talk about SR, not some imaginary
country club with glass walls. And yes, I do delete the so-labeled posts,
they just keep cropping up in otherwise intersting threads.

That would be me for one. Actually, I think I'll sell my beach condo
to some young feller who's only been here a month or so and who's never
even seen SR1 or heard of BITNET.

> And that's that.

Probably not.

And verily, did Mike Loseke hastily scribble thusly...

You mean you have one?
Look, the elders resort thing is a silly joke that evolved into a similar
mythology to Gurths stairs. This is a friendly list and it's bound to
generate the odd in-joke once in a while.

And if you object so much about it I very much doubt you have a condo in the
resort...

:)

As for "having to hide from what we say"????
We don't, but we take solice from the security that carp proofed sheilding
provides.

It's ALL A JOKE.

That is all it is or has ever been.
I really think your taking things a little bit too seriously for your own
good.
