I'm an applied physics grad student at Rice. I've seen Jim Tour's talk
on molecular electronics and it's pretty cool stuff. Basic
gate-source-drain transistor stuff, but with long conjugated molecules.
He won the DARPA research initiative for Molecular Electronics last year
and is a top scientist in his field.
