Is that movies, or actual people living in the Scottish Highlands? :?)
In the novel of the first movie (since I'm probably the only person in the
world to own a copy I reserve the right to quote from it regularly) Ramirez
says one in 50 million is born immortal, but then he admits he made the
number up because it sounds really big. I'm not sure what he says in the
movie, but from memory it is something simmilar. Suffice to say, there are
few enough that a society of watchers is highly unlikely, and there can be
only one.

Trying to connect this to the discussion about Bull's Highlander rules a few
weeks ago, I saw Highlander:Endgame last night and I must say it was
awesome!! While they didn't forge any kind of connection ot the otehr movies
really, it was well done (think along the lines of the series
continuity-wise, and it all goes down easier) and they did develop a new
concept or two that could be used with those rules. I encourage all of you to
go see it, and without giving too much away, the way they ended it, I highly
doubt there will be only one :)

lol...now now, if I said that on list, I'd be probably be hunted down and
killed....I didn't word my last phrase right....I meant, if this does well
and all, I doubt that they'll only make one movie...it's being touted as the
final chapter, but then the first movie WAS the final chapter and that
didn't slow them down :)

Please allow me to say just this. The movie was good for a laugh. If not
much more. Then again I personally haven't liked a highlander flick in...
YEARS.

Uhhh what was that ratio of Highlanders to normal people anyway?

Wow. You must have seen a different movie than I have. I also saw HL:EG, and
as far as I'm concerned, sucked large rocks. While the fight scenes were
impressive, there was pointless flashbacks, no real continuity with the
other movies(which, given, were also really bad), no backstory, and a lot of
things just didn't make sense. It conflicted with established bits of
information from the series (such as when an immortal loses his head, *all*
immortals in the area get the quickening.)

And the sex scene sucked. =P

Ever lovable and always scrappy,

Not to prolong an OT thread, but in the series, not all immortals in the area
receive the Quickening. If they did, Duncan would have received several more
Quickenings while witnessing several of Richie's kills.

Also, while I agree with kawaii on the flashbacks point, I was approaching
this one from the stand point of temporarily forgetting the other movies (and
EVERYONE _wants_ to forget 2 and 3) and just looking at it as an extension of
the series...like I said, it goes down a bit easier...
