I don't take it personally at all. Of course, I'm not as paranoid as
some people ;)

It was probably the ammount of email that did it. I remember when I
first subscribed to ShadowRn and 30 posts a day (at that time) was
pretty overwhelming. And I'm sure ShadowRN is not what a lot of people
think it is, especially those that migrate from the news groups. I
know when I subscribed I had no idea what to expect. Thank goodness
the list was in a good mood at the time :) <fondly remembers the first
time he was flamed by Stainless Steel Rat in a Grounding debate in
January of 96>

I feel that it's much better that people like Jon recognize that
ShadowRN isn't for them and don't waste their time and ours.

BTW, GridSec Tim has allready contacted Jon and told him how to
unsubscribe.

I had the same kind of problem. When I first got on in 93 I posted a
message in character. Ooops..that was a mistake seeing as Brother Equine
was basically a humanis policlub member. To make a long story short I was
booted off the list by DOOM and had to explain how stupid I was and did not
know there was no in character posting. They let me back on. :) I didnt
post much after that...just lurked.

Doom booted you off? Oh boy. I'd lurk after that too.

You should've been here when Blaze (bless her heart) replied in
character and asked what tea was. Man, what an uproar that caused :)

I also know that if you do a websearch through Excite's engine (which AOL uses
btw), and you get the SR Archive, you get a message that states something to
the degree of ... "subscribe to ShadowRN for information concerning the latest
www addy"...

It might explain why once in a while we keep getting new people showing up
asking the same question, over and over and over and over again....

Seeing as how thats how *I* first came to join the ML, thats a very safe bet,
K. However, unlike them, I like what I found and am staying, even after the
archive does come back up...

AND DONT ANYONE ASK WHEN!!! Asking will probobly get them to push back the
release date AGAIN or something.!!

I'm actually leaning towards blackmail. Ya know, like, "I'm not releasing my
new character sheets until the archive is back up". Hypothetically.
