# i know. if i " had any education i wouldn't end a sentence with a preposition"

A greater lie has never been inflicted upon the masses than this piece
of Victorian nonsense. The greatest master of the english language routinely
ended sentences with prepositions.

"The king hath note of all that they intend,
By interception which they dream not of."
-Henry V, Act 2, Scene 2

"It is an honour that I dream not of"
-Romeo and Juliet, Act 1, Scene 3

There are many other examples in his work......

Ahhhh, but in his day, there were no rules for spelling, and VERY few for
grammar. The first dictionary was well over a century away. They just
spelled things how they thought they sounded.

I imagine they wrote things down the way they spoke as well.
