Oh NO! They're infiltrating us now, they've even gotten Xian, but never
mind, after a few weeks of intensive roleplaying and sacrificing various
things, you'll stop believing their lies and once more be in our grasp
again!....Uh..I mean...friendship.

Jokes aside. Most of my roleplaying buddies seem the most normal to me, I
have noticed that their seems to be a penchant amongst role-players toward
being drama-queens and they seem to create politics amongst each other like
wildfire, but never anything I'd call unstable.

In our bunch the weirdest people are the Linux geeks (which basically
includes me, almost, give it time) and after serious discussion, we feel
that rp'ing attracts people who are above average intelligence, leading to a
lot of different beliefs and ideas about life, which causes the average
sheep in the rest of the world to find them strange. But that's just my .2
nuyen worth.

I would have to say myself (and I as well :) ), because I know exactly
everything that goes on in my head during a game. And I always try and
rein my self in when DM'ing so that the players won't leave and never
come back :P

I'd have to agree with the above. I was most active in gaming while
in the Air Force. I noticed that the AF already attracted people of
above average intelligence (at least to the tech squadrons I was in).
Gamers didn't tend to be much more intelligent than the rest of the
AF, but we all had our quirks. While others seemed a more
"mainstream" kind of people.

As for the strangest player. I would have to say it was a friend I
had while stationed in the UK, he modeled much of his behavior on
Pauly Shore (da Weeeaaasel) but looked a lot like Hyde from "That 70's
Show".

Not this internet thing. I'm confused.
