And he did such a lousy job of it too. I almost thought he had a spiritual
spark left in him...gosh Dave, your job must really be sucky.

BTW, don't feel bad. If you know of anyone at SMC (Service Merchandise), ask
them about raises. Unless you were an "ass kisser who lost his tongue in the
deep dark hole", you got squat.

I was an Assistant Manager, who has lost 30 pounds since taking that job, and
got nothing but 15 cents for the trouble. I'm now the Receiver (NO COMMENTS
ALLOWED!! ;), didn't get a pay cut, work more solid hours, and can sleep on
most nights. Anyway, I found out that the store manager specifically told
the Warehouse Manager (who quit not long after this) to "cut the raise quotas
by 50% or more." Talk about a pain....

You know what, when a job is that bad, the best thing is to look for something
else, see how bad it is elsewhere. If you don't get anything for the effort
you put in, maybe you will somewhere else, and you don't have too much to lose.

I'm trying. Sometime today I should know if I'll be working for
OppenheimerFunds in a few weeks. The only downside is that I'll lose
my free internet access.

BTW Keith, good luck with your search :)
