-People claim they saw the ship's displacement "hollow" alongside the pier.
-The ship (who's name I can't remember right now) continued to serve for
something like 20 more years with a couple of compartments in the island
PERMINANTLY sealed (possibly even pored solid) that would normally be part
of the electronics areas, with a displacement of some of the crew (serious
hot-bunking).
-Some of the crew who were on board continued to claim to "slip" in
time-space
-Things onboard the ship continued to "slip" until she was retired,
lathough only on occasion. "I know set my tray right here! OK, which one
of you you swabs stole my lunch!", that kind of thing. She basically was a
big dryer full of socks, if the stories are true.
-Some THING was seen in the airspace near the pier before, during and
after the test.
-Observers claim to have seen the ship "appear", but in a ghost image, at
Pearl and at her shipyard (Norfolk?).

Actually, an EM "lens" is a valid theory. I don't understand a whole lot
about it, but I know that a few places have worked with using magnetic
fields to focus lasers and to make minute adjustments to thier wavelengths,
and it may actually be in use in limited numbers.

I can't remember the full name, but I know that "Rainbow" was the second
of two words.

Easy- something big, OR thereis nothing to hide, but that later doesn't
explain the sealed compartments or custom, oversized electrical sources
that supposedly would have been more at home on a battlecruiser or an
escort carrier rather than a destroyer.
