Leonard Peltier is a native american still being held by the FBI for
shooting 2 FBI agents 10 years ago, that they even admit he didn't do.

It is a big issue in the Native American movement currently. Check out

Now back to your originally scheduled panic attack...

Hmmm ... This does not sound familiar, however, the date puts it at about
the time SR was created... Do you think this is the source of the indian
question thing in theHistory?

Not sure about that, but the organization he belongs to, the American
Indian Movement, and the incident he was involved in and others around
the same time frame were definately the inspiration of the Soverign
American Indian Movement (SAIM) in Shadowrun, and the eventual
government attempt to erradicate the Native Americans. One of those
incidents was a takeover of a government military base, which housed
nuclear missiles...and SAIM did the same thing, but launched the
missiles.

According to Tony Rabiola, at 11:42 on 11 Jan 99, the word on
the street was...

> I'll ask next. Is "clay pigeons" the same thing as "cannon
fodder"?

No, they're the things you shoot at in skeet/trap shooting (if I got the
name for them wrong, blame it on my dictionary :)

> If so, I can make the connection from there.

I'm not 100% sure anymore how we came to use this term, but it had to do
with some LRRPs in a Vietnam War RPG adventure we played last Saturday. I
believe somebody wanted to shoot pigeons, it turned to clay pigeons, and
then followed a joke about someone who has one of those little shacks
(like you keep pigeons in) full of them. Or something like that, anyway.
Like I said, I can't remember the details.

=================

No, that's the right term for them, and I understand now. Thanx for
the details.
