I can't believe that I'm replying to a virus thread (that shouldn't have
been posted anyway), but ignorance annoys me...

The (original) virus is a Word document. Outlook merely is the main conduit
for it's spread. There are new variants that are Excel macros, or work with
any MAPI email application.

AND it only affects those schmucky enough to go out of their way to open a
word doc emailed to them AND to enable macros in that document.
