I'm in no way an expert in this as the only knowledge I
have about this is what I've been told by a friend who
made some research to be used with a scenario.
What I was told was that Adam was the first human God
created and all was fine in the beginning. But Adam
grew wary and was feeling alone, as all other of Gods
creations had partners (i.e. male and female). God saw
this and wanted to please his most treasured creation
and created a woman for him. This first woman was
Lilith. Created from filth and scorn. At some point
they slept together and had children. I think the
children were some kind of serpents, as I seem to
remember that she was the patron of serpents and women
that had been wronged. (the last point I'm definately
unsure of). Mind you, this has no resemblance to the
version of the story that I heard waaay back in school.
I was told that this story had come forth in some old
scriptures. For further information I was told that it
was possible to find several pages on the Internet.
Desperately trying to veer a bit on-topic: If you don't
have any qualms about using religion as a story hook I
think Lilith is still searching for one of her and
Adams children. I actually participated in the
beginning of this story, and I might add it prooved to
become a rather interesting story.
