Hmmm...

Well, I just went there. Liked it up until I went into a chat forum.
The damn thing shut down my system. (As in it shut down Win95)
Argh.

Anyone know what would cause this. Anyone had the same problem?

Thanks,
Vladimyr

Could be almost anything. When I went up it crashed Netscape twice,
then things worked fine.

What browser were you using?

Answer privately off list please... :)

It was the weekend after Halloween. Everybody (well, those in countries
unfortunate enough to celebrate it, anyway) was recovering from that
particular holiday, and against most odds, and mainly through some firm
posts by Dvixen and other respected listmembers, had the ShadowRN list
even managed to force back the number of off-topic postings to a
reasonable level. In short, just about all that could be wished for was
well (or as well as things get, but you get the idea).

But trouble was brewing under the calm facade of peaceful posts about
destroying vehicles or Seattle's public transport system, for someone
mentioned that Shadowland was once again running on the World Wide Web. As
is common knowledge, threads seldom manage to stay where they started, and
soon this one was headed for disaster.

ShadowRN was as good as defenseless against this hideous thread, were it
not for the lone hero who stood firm in its path. The mysterious hero's
name was unknown to all but a few, his face was seen by even less. He
strapped on his belt, and checked his speedholster. In the it was a carp
with a thousand years' worth of stench coming off of it.

He sat down, and by the harsh light of a computer monitor he spotted his
target: Bredget Stroud, who had foolishly typed in the phrase, "wondering
what operating systems these people are running..." within eyeshot of the
rest of the ShadowRNlist. Quick as lightning, the hero drew his
thousand-year-old carp and flung it toward Bredget...

***** * * * * *** **** *
* * * * * * * * * *
* ***** * * * ***** **** *
* * * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * * *

"Don't mention operating systems on this here list. It's more trouble than
it's worth," the lone hero typed, and used his mouse to hit the Send
button in his mailer before sitting back to reflect on a job well done.

And they all lived happily ever after... Well, most of them did, anyway.
Some were unhappy, but there are always a few wherever you look, you know?
But apart from them, they all lived happily ever after.
