Quite easy, really: they're mine.

It got started last year (or maybe the year before that, I'm not sure)
when I made some or another silly comment and said I was going to hide
under my stairs. David Buehrer decided to use those same stairs to hide
some time later, and a legend was born :)

And believe you me they come in handy :) Although I haven't had the
need to hide under them recently <whimsicle shrug>.

Actually, the "G" word is worse. It spawns more problems than those
other debates you mention. Mainly because, if we disagree about who
is better, we can each do our thing. If we disagree about "G"ing,
well, we can't play together.

Does anyone actually prefer Hellblasts over fireballs? Once you
correct the drain errata? Wow.

I figure that if Gurth ever leaves the list (Hey it could
happen...maybe) then we'll start having the new list members make a
pilgrimage to the stairs before being accepted. :)

That's tantamount to heresy, you realise.
Actually speculating on the possibility that Gurth might even consider
thinking about the possibility of contemplating leaving the list is
heresy...

From a Nebraska native, born and raised, (GO BIG RED!!!), it is the last
Friday in April, honoring J. Sterling Morton, who founded Arbor Lodge in
Nebraska City, and promoted tree planting across the prairies of the
heartland.

Damn it man I never said it was voluntary, the Illuminati could be after
him at this moment...a rival mailing list could have hired assassins to
take out some of our longest lasting members (I almost said old but I know
how that upsets you so :) We must face the reality that no man is an
island...even Gurth could fall prey to the worst of all enemies to the
list...Real Life could claim its bloody prize.

You mean this list doesn't render us immune to the necessities of real

Basically it's a minor American observed day when we plant trees and other
ecologically sound things. :)
I knew it would be obscure for the non-americans, but I didn't realize it
was that obscure...sorry, well kinda ;)
