Oh, I misunderstood the question. I thought it was merely "Who were
you more impressed by?"

If the question is "What character torn between good and evil were
you more impressed by?" I'd definately have to say Gonk the Power
Droid (that's the big square trashcan with feet, for those of you who
don't know your droids by name).

I coudn't agree more. Here you have a character whose inner turmoil is
superbly displayed in subtle play. Actually, for those of you, who does not
realise this, "The Phantom Menace"'s real plot is telling the story of Gonk
and his first step towards the Dark Path. We first encounter him in Watto's
shop, where he has been deactivated and thereby loses his faith in other
people wanting him anything good. This lead to his terrible threacherous act
of giving away the Jawa's in "A new Hope", after which he disappears. I am
sure the next two movies will further explain his journey through threachery
and deceit and give us the complete reason for his actions.

Indeed, a more complex character has seldom been seen in any movie.

(I know what you're thinking GridSec, and believe me - it won't work... ;o)
