Vi is the root of evil. "Evil" is a word constructed from the prefix
"e-", the suffix "-l" and the root "Vi".

Resons why Notepad is better than any other editor:

1)It doesn't crash.

Except for the slight problem that the Windows crusade has virtually made it
impossible to use DOS anything without wanting to hurt someone very, very
badly...

Definitely.

Anyone who codes C, Perl, VB or HTML in a Windows text (or hex) -based
environment, really should look into UltraEdit, if nothing else, for its MDI &
syntax highlighting.

We use UE *exclusively* on the BKK website, as well as Vix's three pagan
websites, and we use it at work for SQL, PL/SQL & Perl scripting.
