I had vowed not be part of a flame war over this but
some of the statment I have read defending the attck
on the USA have made me sick.

They is nor ever can be any justification of
terrorism.

some have said things like 'it is not that simple' ,
or ' you must look at the bigger picture'.

Bull !!. It is Simple. This is Good v Evil.

Any one who hits civinian targets of men woman and
children like this are Evil.

Some have said ' 'it was the USA that was hit and it
must be the USA that fightings back'

Yes and No , It was the USA's pepole that died so the
USA had the clear right to be the ones who make the
kill on those responsable for this. But as an
Englishman from a country with strong alliance with
the USA it our Obligation as an ally and a Free
democracy to offer any and all help we can be it Men
planes tank etc or the use of bases. It is up the USA
to decide weather to acept or not.

I personaly think that 'we' as in the USA and her
Freinds around the globe should take the time to get
the full InTel than hit them with a Speciel focees
teams (seals, SAS whatever). Just carpet bombing the
offending contry will only kill many normal people
who's only crime is to be born in the wrong place.

MY heart felt simpathy go's to all who have lost
freinds and family in this. We should all come
togeather , the free democracys of this world and bury
those who have done this.

regards

Darren 'The black Cat'

Forgive me if I almost laugh about this, but I feel the need now to point
out carpetbombing raids from WWII, in which the USAAF alone killed more
innocent civilians in Germany and Japan than these terrorists could ever
hope to as long as they don't have access to nuclear weapons. By your
reasoning, that makes the US as "evil" (whatever that may mean) as those
responsible for the WTC and Pentagon attacks.

(And yes, you did mention that carpetbombing the "enemy" in this case would
be wrong, but I don't think you thought it through entirely...)

Maybe because this was pretty normal back then? Oh, and my dad was a child
back then in hamburg, germany during the bomb raids in WW2.

Hello,

The events that have happened a few days ago in New York are utterly
terrible, and there is no way in the entire world to justify them. I didn't
want to get involved in a discussion about the matter because I feel there
is not much to discuss, at least not for me (I am not a US citizen).

Still what is stated above forces me to intervene in the discussion: If any
country, person, or group follow this kind of philosophy all you will do is
fall in the same error that fascist governments fell in the past (We are
good, they're not), and it will be enough to justify any atrocity made by
yourself, your group, or country in the name of Good.

Its hard to define good. (I am not questioning the "Badness" of the
terrorist attack, BTW).

Solutions? Sorry. I don't have them, if I did I guess many of humanities
problems would be solved; because as I see it, history just repeats itself
... Only that it does in new terrifying ways.

Pepe
