Okay, seems I touched a nerve.
To Paolo/Dvixen. Glad to see you like the game. I'm speaking from a regional standpoint
when I say that Vor isn't working. Our local gaming store is quite big, does very, very
well, and has yet to sell a single copy of Vor. Lack of incentive, maybe, to sell the
game when you have a truckload of GW inventory.
As for me not liking the game. No, I didn't try. Yes, I saw the box, the material, the
figurines. A little cartoonish. The little marine guys look too much like Imperial
Guards from WH40k, and the aliens. Well. Long live the Tyranids.
Was it kneejerk? Probably. Again, I played Warzone, a game that vaunted itself for having
good, flexible rules, and cheap minis. I trade my Brotherhood army for a couple of
Lizardmen minis. It was that bad.
Yes, the game might work elsewhere. I think I'll grab this month's copy of Comic Retailer
and check for myself. Again, just because it doesn't work here doesn't mean it might not
work elsewhere. Then again, the reverse is true also.
