group recoiling with laughter last session. Glug lives in a cardboard box
in an alley. He threatened his fellow bums in the alley into protecting
his belongings and acting as his 'secretaries' by answering the vidphone
on the corner of the block for any calls.
Glug's fixer decides that he needs a wristphone, so he tells him to go buy
one. This is what happens:
Glug: Glug want phone!
Salesman: Well, sir, we have three different kinds of phones. (points
out a handset phone, a wristphone, and a wristphone w/ flip-up screen)
The handset is 500, the wristphone is 1000 and the one with the flip-up
screen is 1500.
Glug: What!? Wristphone is smaller! Should cost less!
Salesman: Sir...
Glug: You try to cheat Glug?
Salesman: No sir, it's just that...
Glug: Glug buy small phone for 500.
Salesman: Sir, we can't see it to you for...
Glug: YOU ARE TRYING TO CHEAT GLUG!
Salesman: No, it's just that...
Glug: 500, Glug's final offer!
Salesman: Sir, we...
Glug: WELL?
Salesman: I can't sell it to you for 500, I ...
Glug: HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR SMALL PHONE?
Salesman: 900!
Glug: Then Glug buy for 900.
Salesman: But...
Glug: Here money. *slams his credstick onto the table*
Salesman: OK fine! Here you go sir! Have a nice day, now!
Glug: How phone work?
Salesman: ?
Glug: *looks at wrist* hellooo! *taps wristphone* YOU SELL GLUG BROKEN
PHONE! *slams counter*
Salesman: Aaah! No. Just press the on button!
Glug: Ah! *hear's the dialtone* Where Glug's friends?
Salesman: Do you have their phone number?
Glug: Phone number?
Needless to say, this continued for just a bit more and I think everyone
can grasp the picture.
After that Glug went on a run with us. He punches an opponent. The GM
asks him if he uses killing hands. Glug's PC goes, "He doesn't know how
to turn it off."
Well I found that entertaining, hope a few of you did too.
