I was trying to think of why to exceed the vehicle's Load rating but at a
penalty ... However, I don't know if it's because I haven't had enough
sleep (5 hrs in 2 1/2 days ...), or what but I can't seem to focus well
enough to come up with anything ... I was thinking of something along the
lines of stress points, target number mods, and/or speed reduction ... so
I thought I ssend it out to the list and see what happens :/

R2 "fix" update: My Rigger 2 "fix" is currently in limbo and if I
don't
get assistance/positive feedback from the rest of the list, it will stay
there. I don't know if it's because FASA has a canon R2 completed or
what but my initial attempts to fix bugs in R2 where not met well. Which
is surprising considering the number of people who pointed out
errors/problems in the system ... To sum up: Don't bitch & moan unless
you're willing to pitch in and do something about it.

Maybe I'm just cranky because I haven't been able to sleep well ... I'm
going to get some caffiene, see if I can wake up ...

I'll give you a RL example of overloading..Take a 1/2 ton pickup
place 1 ton of coal [I used to have a coal furnace] in the bed
[Hmm..doesn't look like much..Oh well] The first thing noticed is the
truck squats low with all the excess weight..Any more and the tires
will rub on the wheel well..
Take a look at the suspension..Now there
is something scary..The suspension is bent at an angle that makes it
look as though it is about to snap..
Ok..time to get going to take the stress off of the suspension..Ouch
handling sucks..better keep the speed about 1/8 normal or bad things
will happen..the truck sways back and forth..it feels like being
on a boat is bad water..
Well..I made it home..but won't repeat the experience..the tires
rubbed several times when I hit bumps..the truck straggled trying to
get up the hill to my house..but it finally made it..

So ..I would say
Plusses to handling
Reduction to speed
severe stress suspension
increased odds of a catastrofic failure
