Hi tehre... I know that, once again, this is off topic... But you guys
were really helpful in my E-mail proggy search, and now I'm looking to get a
good picture viewer...

I need a small, fairly basic program for windows 3.1. Basically, something
that would let me view pictures, and covert pics to .bmp files to use as
wallpaper or whatever...

any help would be greatly appreciated...

Best STRAIGHT VIEWER is ACDSEE. I would recommend getting Acdsee for
viewing and LView for modifying. Acdsee is lightning fast. I love
it :)

I use Paintshop Pro to convert my pics. It's available as free/shareware
on the web (but, it's not a small program).

On a side note, if you're using Netscape 3.0, or greater, for windows
you can left mouse click on an image and use it as wallpaper. Voila
you've just converted the image to a .bmp file in your windows
directory.

I'd probably recommend Galt's Ez-Viewer. I use the 32-bit version for Win'
95 and NT, but I know there's a 16-bit version as well. It's only 440k to
download, has great viewing otption (explorer type directories and thumb
nails) and multiple save formats.

You can pick it up at: http://www.galttech.com
