Not per Shadowrun rules, which is why astrally projecting magicians can walk
through walls and such. Only living things have auras, and non-magical
living things have different auras than magical living things. See SRII,
pg. 145'ish.

However, I noticed the IMHO. If that's the way you like ot play it, then
that's cool too. Just thought I'd add the standard SR line :)

I think we actually agree and are just using
different words to describe the same thing.
Non-living objects are visible on the astral plane,
but you can pass through them. Do you call this
a non-living aura or something else? Doesn't
matter. In the spell casting section, they
describe how spells must sync with the targets
aura in order to cross back to reality from astral
space, which implies non-living things have an
"aura" that can be synced with.

If I substitute the words "astral echo" for
"non-living aura" in my previous post, do you
then agree that it matches Shadowrun rules?

Shit quick or the get hit by the hellblast being ritually cast by the
mage holding the soybean plant. ;)
