I've got a scenario I'd like to test-run before submitting to Tom Dowd. The
scenario is a street-level adventure for beginning characters, set in
Davidsford's Orktown area. If you're interested in playtesting by email, send
me mail directly. This will not be played out on the list.

I could use some players for a PBEM game that I am running. I have 4
players and need some for inclusion into the group, as they had to abort
thier last mission when too many of the original group left the list.
Applicants must have the ability to read UUENCODED files as my file are
often so encoded by my mailer.

Character will be experienced characters (and player?:) and will be allowed
18 karma and a 2 point Karma pool. Newly made characters will also receive
up to 180,000 in addition to starting funds, to approximate money made over
the last few months.

All interested please reply by email.

I'd be interested...I often play Decker-types, but would enjoy
running a Troll Shaman, just to do something different.
I can whip up a character Wednesday if you want (it's my next day
off) -- what creation limitations are you imposing (equipment, etc.)?

If you still have room...I am willing to join into the game...

What kind of characters are you looking for? What do you need? Or, do you
have enough already?

Hey all,

My table top SR game just turned into a PBeM game,
thanks to conflicting schedules of my gamers. It is a
2nd Edition (with house rules) game set in
Touristeville (Redmond City), and ranging both east
into the Barrens and west into Bellevue. The
characters are low powered ex gang members created
with the priority system and limited to 400K for
starting resources. They are just getting into the
shadows. I have two players currently, with another
who may or may not make the transition to PBeM. If
this sounds like a game you would be interested in
playing in, contact me directly and I will send you
more specific info and an invite to the game's mailing
list. I am looking for fairly active players (posting
regularly), and I am looking for players more
concerned with the flavor of the game than the
mechanics of the game.

Thank you for your time.

--pssst...I am sometimes called Evil by my gamers, but
they seem to have fun as long as we avoid certain
topics (Humanis, bugs, dragons, vampires, megacorps,
etc.) Hey, they keep coming back, so... ;p

After reading your little zoo explote... I'm both intruiged and
scared.
What the hell. I'll try and post when I can, but sometimes they do
off-ship communcation lock downs. Other-wise, I'm game.
It'll be good to be a player again.

Ahh crap. I let my girlfriend borrow my 2nd ed books so she could
read the fiction and get into SR. Is it alright if I use 3rd ed
rules?

I'm interested too (if it's not too late), but I'm afraid I only
know the SR3 rules (only been playing for 3 years or so). Is this a
big problem? (I think I may be able to borrow some SR2 books, but I
wouldn't count on it...)

Hey, evil GMing is the way to go, isn't it? The Humanis campaign
you described definitely impressed me, and I wish to learn more about the
ways of the VEGM. ;)

You can make a character under SR3 rules, and I can
work with you to scale it back to SR2 once you are
staisfied with it. There is a character sheet on the
group site in the Files section. You should recieve
an invite shortly. Meanwhile, here is some background
info on the game, to aid you in the basics of char
gen.

Game History: The Le Tigres were a small but
ferocious gang holding an eight by ten block area
against all comers. They were A-boys, a gang who
models themselves on an animal motif. In this case,
they emulated great cats. They were led by Feral, a
powerful Shamanic Way Physical Adept. He was a French
kickboxer of corporate upbringing, forced into the
shadows in shame after it was revealed he was a masked
adept fighting in unaugmented tournaments (at the
bidding of his corporate masters). He gathered his
gang and carved out a nice piece of prime turf. His
greatest ally in this was Alyssa, an enigmatic,
sensual, savage Cat shaman of great power (Grade 3
initiate). The gang all sported some form of claws,
either cybernetic (razors, spurs) or snapblades. They
usually fought to injure and maim, rather than kill.
They were frightening in combat, and held the much
larger Kreeds (thrill gang) and Rapier Wheels
(go-gang) out of their turf for a long time. That all
changed when a group of shadowrunners set up shop in
their neighborhood. At first it was good. The
runners paid dues like everyone else. Eventually, the
runners work (and enemies) took their toll on the
gang. Alyssa ended up dying while helping the runners
on a run that ended with all the runners dead, jailed,
or missing. Feral fell apart. The gang hung on for a
couple of years, but the A-boy motif was mostly gone,
taking the ferocious spirit of the gang with it. They
were overwhelmed by a war between the Kreeds and the
Rapier Wheels, and only a handful got out alive. They
headed north, seeking new turf, and new purpose in
life.

Game Premise: With gang life no longer an option, the
surviving Le Tigres agreed to meet in Redmond and try
their hand at other pursuits. Having seen the
shadowrunners in action, the consensus was that maybe
they could earn some cred doing small time runs. So
it is that they are trickling into the Redmond area,
finding each other, and settling into the life of
small time runners.

Game Personalities:

Cody: a very distinctive sort, Cody identifies with
the old classic flat screen movie cowboys in a major
way. He dresses the part, drinks the part, gambles
the part, and fights the part. Single shot,
customized Colt revolvers wielded akimbo, an antique
Winchester lever action rifle, the duster, the
Stetson, the works. He's no street sam...he's a
street cowboy.

Shi Jai: this adept is distinctive as well. Dressing
in 16th century samurai garb and wielding a katana
will do that to a person. Of course, he traded in the
old samurai long bow for a Remington hunting rifle,
but the idea is still there. Of course, being
Hispanic with the above style helps really distinguish
him.

Jenna: mistress of magic and monowhips. She vanished
soon after they all got to Redmond. She is presumed
either dead or arrested, since she was last seen
fleeing the cops. [Player has not signed up for the
list, and has not indicated that they plan to.

Hogan: this oddball wields polearms. Spears to be
exact. As melle weapons, missile weapons, and even as
a lance from astride his motorcycle. He is currently
missing in action, after going off to talk to a
contact. [Player has not signed up for the list, and
has not indicated that they plan to.]

Shazz & Paladin: A coyote shaman and a mysterious Tir
warrior (?), these NPCs help keep everything
interesting with what help they offer. Both have a
habit of raising as many questions as they answer.
Both are tough in a fight.

Game Rules: basically 2nd Edition char gen, with room
to tweek things a bit. I am pretty flexible about
mechanics. If you have a house rule (or a rule from a
different edition) you like, spell it out for me
concisely and clearly, and I'll take it into
consideration. I am conversant in all three editions
of Shadowrun, though I know 2nd the best. Same goes
for gear, spells, and such. Starting resources are
limited to 400K. We are using the priority system for
char gen. Edges and Flaws are fine, but must balance
in cost. Try not to get insane with these. Taking 10
points of Edges and Flaws is just begging for trouble.
Contacts should be from either Redmond or Puyallup,
as the only places your characters have spent much
time. Also, you should be young (no more than 23) as
you have no other life experience beyond the game. A
charcater sheet is up on the group site in the Files
section. Fill it out and mail it to me. We'll go
from there. Keep in mind the gang background. All
PCs are well aquainted and trust each other
completely. You are more than buddies, you are
brothers and sisters. You are all that is left of the
Le Tigres.

I am closing access to the game, as it has started.
You are welcome to lurk, and join in any off-topic/out
of character threads. If a position opens in the
game, I will offer you a chance to make a character.
Thank you for your interest. I will also invite you
to any other SR PBeM games I start.
