I would like to know how you get involved in this then?
It sounds good so far and i'd like to try it out some time. Maybe if another
campain starts you could tell me?

So this would be correct?:

Freak: I turn around and shoot at the noise.

Jim* What the hell are you doing, freak?

I do'nt use dice at all.My Games are all GM Controlled. That means, if the

So how do you decide if someone can or can't do the action? Common sense?

So you get the say on what goes and what doesn't?

Scarey is a POV...if Victor's is running, I would honestly say his would be
the "hardest work in progress" for a PBEM I am aware of. Individual members
within a given game universe, not all of whom are together...yep, too much
work for me.

Mike (Airwisp) and I have PBEM's as well, with some overlapping players.
Mike's is, I think, stationed around Seattle for ease of play for the other
players and obtaining information by the players for their characters.

Mine is in Aztlan of course, and is based upon a previous PBEM from 6 years
ago or so that is now resurrected to finish the unfinished business...

You want scary? How's this for a goal, go into the Tower of Finance
(Tezcatlipoca's in the Central Core of Tenochtitlan), free a reputedly "Free
Matrix Entity", an AI of some type or another, and get out. And when all else
is done, part or all of that group gets to have a confrontation with
Tezcatlipoca himself, complete with the Mirror and the Teocali and ad nauseum
etceras....

Keep your ears open. I am expecting -SOMEONE- (he knows who he is) to get
back and let me know if he's joining or not...

From the general sound of it, yes. Mike and I use mailing lists like the RN
group here, with everyone contributing in near-free-for-all, and GM
intervention to keep things straight and/or moving in a given direction.

This changes from game to game also. Mine has a character of mine (good ol'
Binder himself) as a member of the run, but he's by no means the only
contributing force to things.

I have the players roll their own dice, I like to think I can trust the gang
at this, and just include their roles and such in their postings. I'll send a
reply as to what appears to have happened and any needed clarifications that
may arise.

> So how do you decide if someone can or can't do the action? Common sense?

Sort of, yes. And, as I have mentioned, clarification where necessary (which
seems to be happening more often lately)...

Oh now this will get me everytime. I have the players send me copies of their
characters, in as complete a detail as possible. Role Playing background as
well, just give me some idea of a feel for the character(s) in question.
Complete listings of spells, programs, gear, etcetera are par for the course
here...

Interesting...members of PBEM's can vary over time if it happens (we had a guy
with a WebTV account, but the mail surge simply forced him to drop out. Open
Access accounts are without a doubt, the way to go. Mike and I have forwarded
the IM/Chat program from AOL to the members, and some people have downloaded
it so that direct questions can be answered from time to time.

Now the group has solidified somewhat, with late joiners en route to Teno even
as we speak (proverbially of course). It's going to a nasty confrontation as
things get down to it....
