First off I am a player in this game and i want to respond from a players
viewpoint.

The doors were unlocked and the children had three hours to walk right out the
front door (they were teenagers, not really kids) and i don't know any kid that
will just sit in a room for three hours when an alarm is blaring Self Destruct
in 2 Hours, etc.

yes but we felt it was not necessary! they could leave by themselves and we
thought (rightfully so) that reinforcements were on the way! How were we to
know that the kids weren't going to leave by themselves? Plus lone star was on
the way with over an hour and a half left in the countdown. Why didn't they
save the kids?

True! they also had guards in each of the kids rooms that had panther cannons!
did they plan on using those on the kids when they misbehaved? I also was not
aware that we had the capability to turn off the self destruct because the
computer mainframe had been trashed in the crossfire! I thought that had set
off the alarm!

It's about time you reply. :)

Good point, I thought you had locked all of the childrens doors, not just
the Trolls. And the self-destruct alarm was not blaring on the
ground levels. The children had no idea that they were going to be
dead. Plus the fear of being sent to "the room" if they left kept them at bay.

Yeah but Lonestar didn't know of the countdown, they were only
responding to an annonymous phone call of suspicious people out on
the street with big weapons, carrying bodies.
You know come to think of it I also forgot about DocWagon, who would
of probably left all the doors unlocked. Did they get out on time?
I'll have to think about that one.

You never bothered to ask or look around to see if there was a way.
