Pretty much, yeah, although I think it works both ways...:)

We (the GM's), get to take out our frustrations, our sick little torture
perversions, and our wildest whims (well, most of them anyways, unless
you're in a two person group and the other is your Girlfriend/wife/whatever)
on the poor unsuspecting PC's, who think we are there for their benefit...:)

Meanwhile, the PLayers get to take out (some) of their frustrations and
warped little enjoyments on te NPC's and other players... Plus, they're
masochists (except munchkins, who don't believe in pain) who enjoy the
torture GM's put the character through.

Ah well, just my suggestion...:)
