Since the list is a litle slow at the moment, I thought I'd toss out a
little more of my stuff:) So, I've drawn up some rules I'm considering
for use for permanently anchoring a spell, and I'd like to hear what some
of you think about it...basically, this is all rules, 'cause I'm kinda
lazy when it comes to some of htis stuff:)

Creating a permanent anchor

Spell(s) are anchored as normal with required links (Activation and
De-activation, for instance) and a Temporal link of at least 6-24 combat
turns (modifier: +1 DT/+1DL). Next step is an astral quest similar to
that performed for a Great Form spirit/elemental (which is to say, it
takes no time in the "real" world). Target number for the quest is 2
times (Total Force + Links*) minus the quester's Grade. This anchoring,
assuming that the quest goes off right, is still a normal anchoring
except that it now has a permanent duration. It is still vulnerable from
the astral, like any other anchored spell.
* add 1 to the target per extra drain level and .5 per +1 to Drain
target. Round down.

To create a true anchoring focus, follow normal procedures for enchanting
a focus (30 days and all) for this focus:
Design Base time: 20 days
Formulas for this focus will require the spell formulas for all spells
to be anchored
Enchanting Target #: 6
Bonding Cost:
1st Bonding: 4 times Rating
Regular Bonding: 3 times Rating

The spells must be anchored at first bonding and the Astral Quest
described above must be completed successfully for this focus to be
successfully enchanted. If all goes well, the new focus is no more
vulnerable from the astral than a normal focus (only vulnerable when
active, as opposed to being vulnerable all the time). The Rating required
for a particular anchoring is equal to the total force + modifiers for
links, as calculated above.

Hope that didn't sound too munchkinny but I figure the foci are going to
be the bigger game-breakers (though either one can destroy game balance
something awful), which is why I tried not to make it easy...I hope I
succeeded. Looking forward to hearing your comments/thwaps/flames/etc....
