beginning of the game buy's a magical weapon is it bonded? can you
phyad's have the force points of magic priority B like a mage, or is it
assumed that he's used it for a while and it's been bonded or what? if
this is covered in the books forgive me cause i don't have many books
(rigger 1, sprawl sites 1(is there a new one?) and sr2).

No. A PhyAd must earn the karma to bond with it.

No. PhyAd's start out with a set number of power points equal to his
starting magic rating for phyad abilities.

This is in SR3.

I don't have my book handy to check but don't physads get their magic
attribute in force/spell/doohickey points for such things as bonding
foci? or was that SR2?

It's SR2. Physad stuff starts on page 124, and bonding stuff (foci
table and all) begins on 137.

Not that I recall. I'm pretty sure that it was always that way.

(IIRC) in SR2 a physad could use spellpoints to bond and activate foci
just as full mages could. This was changed in SR3 since physads no
longer have access to the spellpoints and instead use powerpoints. So
physads can buy a weapon focus, but they have to earn karma to bond the
foci.

According to sean jamieson, at 15:18 on 2 Mar 99, the word on
the street was...

There are two interpretations for this. 1) Physads get no Force Points and
thus cannot bond foci. 2) They get Force Points but can't do anything with
them, except bond a weapon focus. I've always played with option #2, but
it depends on what you want for your game -- if you want physads to sweat
a bit (get some Karma) don't let them bond a weapon focus during character
generation; OTOH if you don't mind, let them spend their Force Points on
this (and on _nothing_ else!).

The current Shadowrun line developer, Mike Mulvihill, when he was on the
list about 2 years ago, seemed to like #2 when I suggested it in a similar
thread to this one. However, in the third edition main rules (page 55), it
specifically forbids physads from bonding a weapon focus at character
generation.

(Oh, and there never was a Sprawl Sites 2.)
