Look at the "To" address on this message. Why are people still sending
mail to that list, and more to the point, why are some of us still receiving
it? In fact, I got two copies of this message, one from
ShadowRN@*********.org, and one from shadowrn@*****.html.com
I noticed this because my filters are set up to remove ShadowRN... I
assumed we had all been switched to the new list and the old one killed. If
it is not dead, should I unsubscribe? How would I do so?

According to Mongoose, at 3:23 on 4 Apr 99, the word on
the street was...

As I understand it, the two are actually the same list, so it's not a
matter of being subscribed to two lists but of having two addresses for
one list. Why you got that post twice I don't know (I don't think I got
two of them), though.

But I have second Mongoose on the question of why people are still sending
to the old address. Using shadowrn@*********.org is much better because it
should stay with the list even if the actual listserver will move again.

Humble apologies...I think that's my fault...when I first put the new ShadowRN
in my address book, then it was renamed jackpoint.org, I forgot to change it. My

I'm more curious as to why the old address still works. I thought the
admins switched us all, and killed the old list.

And verily, did Mongoose hastily scribble thusly...

If things are still coming from itribe, maybe the nice people who allowed
the list to be hosted there just replaced the old account with a forwarding
address....

*yawn* I'm here. Honest. I'm even paying some attention to the list.. <g>

The old list works because lists.html.com is jackpoint.org. Different name,
same computer. And to be more confusing -- www.jackpoint.org isn't
jackpoint.org. :-)

Itribe should send you a message about the list move when you send a
message to shadowrn@********.itribe.net, nerps@********.itribe.net, etc,
and it should just report a error if you try to subscribe to the groups
over there, since they don't exist anymore.
