NEW PHYSAD POWER - Ur-Master
COST - 1.5 points per level
LIMIT - May not take more levels than the PC's Charisma
The Ur-Master power target metahumanity's built in tendency to defer to
superiors.
Ingrained deep within each human psyche is the memory of tribal days, and a
social "pecking order" or caste system.
Each level or Ur-Master allows the PC to add one die to all social
interaction tests.
NPC's will naturally defer to the character.
Ur-Master's are natural leaders. They can easily influence people
subconciously. The Ur-Master power, the physad will notice that he gets
better seats at restaurants, more dates, etc.
The drawback to this is that the power is ALWAYS on. The PC can NOT "shut
it off"
The deference of others is noticibly forced, as Ur-Master targets a
fear/respect reaction, rather than a love/trust reaction.
NPC's will feel constantly watched around the Ur-Master. And some may feel
on edge.
This effect is more pronounced in characters who normally ARE deferential
to superiors.
Using Ur-Master against a wage-slave may automatically force the plebe to
essentially do your bidding.
Use the same power against a high power corp exec, and the struggle for
dominance will be tangible, possibly causing more friction than would
otherwise be felt. In such a case, Ur-Master can be more penalty than
benefit.
NOTE - Ur-Master ONLY affects metahumans. It does NOT give bonus dice to
summoning spirits!!! Otherwise, and test based off charisma or influencing
people is affected by the power.
At the GM's discretion Trolls and Orcs may be more easily affected by
Ur-Master, while Elves may be unaffected. Of course that's just rampant
paranoia and my own prejudice angainst those elven oppressors keeping my
trog brothers down. STICK IT TO THE MAN!!! :-)
