Sorry, Carter, but I must redirect your attention to the rule book (and, like
you, this isn't a flame. I had been planning on responding this, and just
recently got the time & read the rules) for Physads and Magic. According to
the rules, Physads do NOT get a magic pool. It says that specifically.
Unfortunately, I don't recall whether it's referring to ALL adepts, or just
Physads. However, since they don't have a magic pool, they can't get either
Spell Defense or Shielding. I would LIKE for them to be able to do that,
but alas, they cannot.

Reverend - as I recall - what you are referring to says that PhysAdepts
do not have an astral magic pool. Perhaps somewhere in the book that I
have missed it also says that they do not have a normal magic pool, but
that I have not read (or do not recall).

From the fact that they do not have an astral pool, one could extrapolate
either way, that they lack a true magic pool, or that they lack an astral
magic pool because they can merely percieve and not project.

If you have a page number for the general magic pool rule, send it my way
either via a post or private mail, just so I know....
