The Science skills, in fact most of the SR knowledge based
skills are very General, and cover much more than you could
normally learn.
Putting 6 into science is like getting Degree level
Chemistry, Physics, Pharmacology, Materials science, Biology,
Botany, zoology, etc
(reality bent to make a point, i can't
remember all the skills covered by 'physical science')

I'd say you MUST specialise, or at least concentrate in one
area, as you can never know all there is in all these fields
under ONE skill.

And bafore anyone says that these skills are pretty useless
outside of helping define your character, think what you can
do with them.
Chemistry and Pharmacology will give you enough know how to make
explosives, poisons, all sorts of drugs, toxic gases, incenduarys
and other fun toys from readily available household items.
We nicknamed it'combat chemistry'...
I've seen Sammies blinded with chlorine generators (caustic
burns to face and lungs.)
Hideously toxic gas made in a kitchen using a frying pan, a
window, a rusty toolkit, a blowtorch and a file. the whole
building had to be evacuated.
The materials end and civil engineering/design lets you build
your own guns and weapons.
Biology is nasty. access to toxins like EDTA is easy, and you
know what to do with them. simple bacteriology lets you cause
plagues in the poor areas. immunology helps in biotech and
healing
(Ever wanted to know how to cure Bubonic Plague without ANY
medical skills or equipment.
It takes Biology (TN5?) An orange or peice of bread, a pot with
a lid, a fire, sugar, an egg,and water. )

These skills are greatly underrated.
they can take your guns off you easily, but emptying your MIND
is a lot harder...
and no scanner /detect <nasty thing> spell can pick up a bomb
that ISN'T A BOMB YET.
=)

CHOPPER

you may have guessed, i know Chemistry. all the things mentioned
above are possible with GCSE/Alevel CHEM and a little devilish
imagination.
I hate to see my subject underrated.
