Okay everybody, a small pet project has finally come through on this end
(thanks to a new scanner I just got). On HHH, there are now select images of
vehicles from the Rigger Black Book, and these will be cycled through as time
passes.

To get there, go to
http://members.aol.com/hhackerh/intro.htm

from there, click onto the Tech Index button, on the Tech page, click on the
Rigger2 icon, and once at the Rigger section, click on the black-and-white
image of the motorcycle. This will then get you to the Index for that
section.

Thanks,

-Mike

P.S. A pic of a Bergen will be up sometime tonight, as it was scanned in as I
was getting ready to crash for the night.

Ahem. Are you sure this isn't violating FASA's copyright?

Come on, folks, let's not bite the hand that feeds us. Do you _want_ FASA
to turn into a bunch of raving maniacs like TSR, when dealing with the
internet?

AS far as our legal research has turned up, no it isn't. We aren't asking
money, we have NOT copied more than 25% of the material. We have given credit
to all the artists and to FASA Corp (all over the place actually). We have
made the images black background, white lines (photo negative/inversion).
It's (they're) from a book that is no longer being printed, but does retain a
fully functional copyright over said material. No stats of the vehicles are
being published (part of that "not copying the whole work" restriction).

Yeah, it's a gray area, and if we *have* to, we *WILL* take them down. But,
given the other net prescedence that is occurring with FASA, and the fact of
total acknowledgement (that Disclaimer page is getting HUGE btw), we shouldn't
be crashing the toes of the people who produce the game we love the most.

I have asked FASA for permission to do this, but has as of yet to get a
response. Seeing as I have not put every single vehicle from the RBB up, it
does not constitute breaking the copyright on the images, and neither are the
images in the same condition as they are in the RBB, they have been modified.

Until I get further permission from FASA, I am taking things slowly at the
moment about doing this.

A really long time ago, I asked FASA for permission to continue to put my
equipment list up on the net. They basically said that it was "a little bit
more than we are comfortable with". They could have been total jerks about
it, but they handled it with a lot of class. This was years ago (SR1 era),
but I guess the moral is that it shouldn't hurt to ask.
