I ran a *one-shot* game (at least that's what it was intended to be...)
that was a group of people grabbed from the street and put into a maze.
They got out through role-playing and problem solving. I was willing to
let it drop. (Tyger solemly shakes his head)

They wouldn't. We spent 10 game sessions (as the players put it) "Getting
that little SOB into a pine box.) Out of those 10 sessions, about 7 were
almost pure role-playing. It was an intresting event. (Mainly because
they wouldn't let me sleep! We played the 10 sessions within 14 days!)

My point? I had munchkins and actors playing this game to the fullest. My
belief is to let the players run with whatever they hand you. If they step
outside the lines, then coax them back into the mainstream. This group
also did some LRP, and it was very intresting watching a munchkin trying
desperately to weasel his way into the tavern. "This isn't a gun! It's a
wand! Yeah! A wand of... err... Flower production!" Sad.
