I apologize for continuing this thread, but I think I'd like to add a
little bit on the subject of 'freedom of speech'. Freedom of speech
is the right to publicly say anything. There is a limitation - if
these speeches solicit/suggest/inflame criminal activity, then they
are illegal. (Someone has said, your freedom to do anything you wish
stops at my nose - same thing.).

Now then, this list can safely be said to be PRIVATE. It is
administered by our admins, on their machines. What they distribute
is their responsibility, because of which they have reserved the
right to kick anyone off. If they say "don't do this" and you do, and
get kicked off, you can write it to a newspaper instead. They, too,
has reserved the right to reject any letter, but perhaps they will
include it. But in no way can you claim violation of your freedom of
speech. Freedom of speech means nothing here; it's not a forum for
which the law is intended. It's intended to make sure political views
can be heard, no matter what the present government thinks or means.
That is a requirement for democracy.
