I posted this on plot-d but did not recieve any replies. So I will post it here.

I have been reading the Shadowtk messages and it looks like "Storytelling"
might be fun. Thing is, as a GM I suck. Can someone give me some pointers?

Hello all,

I ran my first shadowrun game last week. It was loads of fun. My
player's and I are having a great time trying to learn the system.
The characters are all pretty beefy in their respective fields; two
troll street sammies cybered to the hilt, a raccoon shaman, a sorceror
(adept), a rigger with a $650,000 vehicle, and a decker with an
impressive hacking pool.

The story went something like this:
The characters were hired to investigate toxic waste dumping in a
national park near Seattle. The waste has no visable detrimental
effects to the surronding plantlife and the only way it was even known
that this was going on was that a tourist spotted them and took a
blurry photograph. They found him and tracked him to a company called
Rising Sun Interior Design which is a front for this toxic waste
enterprise.
At our next game the group should make the assult upon this
building and locate evidence concerning the group making this toxin as
well as its contents (which will cause the plants and animals in the
area to die as soon as rain hits it) and the current dumping schedule.
Oh no, a group is making a run now. They will go and stop them using
their supped up vehicle (gotta let the rigger shine!) After stopping
them, they will see that the barrels are labeled Mitsasta enterprises
which was tring to aquire the land for a helecotor field.

Any neat plotlines that any of you have run or played in? A new GM
needs all the help she can get.

Debbie

I am glad you are doing your best to get the rigger into things..All too
often the Rigger ends up sitting in the vehicle keeping the engine
running and keeping thieves fron stealing the ride..This can quickly
bore a player..A small suggestion..Make sure the rigger either gets or
has a few drones..A drone can keep the rigger in the thick of things..
