I have a poll! Please e-mail me your answer, I'll collate and staple...
err, sum them up.

1) Frankie the magician learns a spell via astral quest. As a GM, would
you require Frankie to pay karma for it?

2) Frankie is an Intiate, and belongs to a group. He needs to advance to the
next Grade, does he have to return to his group - given that he's going
to do an Astral Quest for the Ordeal (or not do an Ordeal)?

Thanks for your cycles.....

That's a tough one. In some cases, I would allow it, as long as the
quest was not something that is very simple, that would encourage the
player to use this method alot in order to gain a truckload of spells. I
would say that it may be okay once or so, but more than that could be
seriously unbalancing to the game.

Yes.

1) No. I make the astral quests hard. :^)

2) Depends on the group. Some have restrictions stateing that you cannot
join another group or do an ordeal with another group.

Of course he has to pay karma for the spell. The astral quest just gives him
spell formula.

While the rules say nothing on the subject, I would say yes if he wants to
use the 1.5 mulitplier for Magic Group and Ordeal.

YO CHUMMERS!!! I requested that responses be e-mailed to me if you're
responding to the poll. It'll stop bandwith waste. There are days I don't
really read the mail (gasp), so if you do want your responses included
into the poll, e-mail me your responses.
