Well, we've all discussed the money end of the gold, which is now
determined at and around 250¥ per oz. or 10,000¥ per 10 kilograms in 'ra=
w'
form.
Thats easy enough to descover from checking and comparing inflation, and
checking sources at hand (I would have looked it up in my grimmy by now,
but I'm in the process of moving), but an other thing entirely is aquiring
it. I have thought of a few options, and am not truly certain how to go
about it, currently money is no object for this current goal. And the goal
is get the basketball-ish sized amount of gold, and keep everyone quiet
about it, and at the same time not let anyone know why your being so
hush-hush about the whole thing to begin with.

Any options on getting such an amount of gold? Any Ideas?

Thanks for the help you are about to offer.

Wasn't there a group in Britain that found 14.5 mil in a freezer? (Old
shadowtk plotline, I think.) Look for an industrial source, or go
directly to the mine or refinery. The closer you get to the consumers,
the hotter the flak'll be. Not that the other guys'll just write it
off, of course.

Hmm. Con the GM into allowing a free spirit to use its power of wealth
to create raw gold?

Find an old sunken ship?

Develop the resources to extract it from ocean water?

Go to a morgue and steal a lot of fillings?

Unh, 10kg ,000g 53oz @**,000¥/oz = 28¥/oz (raw Troy wt: 12oz/lb).
That means: 900% mark-up for processing by the corps? I can see it!

You need to go thru a proxy or a secondary. Try your local fence,
fixer, or Johnson (if you can trust any of 'em). Sure it'll cost ya
extra, but *they* have the connections. You don't.

Check out Gurth's NERPS article, "Fixing the Fence" for more info!!

Well, considering that gold is a fairly commonly used resource in
enchanting activity (OK, it's the second most expensive, but the list is
still pretty small), you could probably look up several (dozen, or more?)
talismongers to try to obtain the amounts that you need. Probably a good
idea to have a mage/shaman do that for you to lessen suspicion.
