I'm sending this via the list because someone else may like to know as
well. I often take a postscript file to work and print it via the
postscript printer there. Take the postscript file (usually on a disk b=
ut
it's up to you) to the computer which has the postscript printer connec=
ted
to it. Get yourself to a command line and enter;
copy Book.ps lpt1:
This example assumes the computer is using MSDos, has a postscript prin=
ter
connected to the parrallel port, the postscript file is called
"Book.ps", and that the postscript file is in the current "cd"'d
direct=
ory.
Do NOT send the file to prn: or whatever. All you will get is a dump of=
the
postscript itself. If you send the file direct to the parrallel port (i=
n
the example above) the printer does all the work.
